LUANN BARNDT, ED.D.
Lead Instructor (St. Louis)
Ms. Barndt is The NEXT Academy Lead Instructor for the St. Louis Host Location in 2019. With several decades of proven success leading, educating, training, and coaching leaders, throughout her career, she effectively persuaded and facilitated cooperation and coordination among a wide variety of personalities at all levels of government and industry. As the US Coast Guard Chair assigned to the National Defense University, Captain Barndt developed and taught graduate levels courses to senior military officers and government leaders.
Transforming past success into significance, Ms. Barndt founded Axiom Quest LLC to inspire holistic learning and development focused on transforming personal wisdom into skilled action. As a Senior Fellow at The George Washington University Center for Excellence in Public Leadership, Dr. Barndt coaches and trains senior leaders from Federal and Local Government agencies.
Dr. Barndt earned a B.S. in Management from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy; an M.S. in Information Management from The George Washington University; an M.S. in Military Art and Science from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College; and an M.S. in National Security Strategy from the National War College. In 2018, she earned her Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Human and Organizational Learning, Executive Leadership Program from The George Washington University.
A graduate of Georgetown University Leadership Coaching Certification Program, Luann is also certified as a Master Somatic Coach, Leadership Embodiment Coach, and is credentialed as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF). As a retired US Coast Guard Captain (O6) with Command experience, she is a proud veteran, married to a veteran, and mother of a US Army soldier and a US Navy sailor!
